Environmental Visits to Schools Let Green Theme come out to your school for the day. Why not make a natural or recycled craft workshop part of your Science or Environment Week? Looking for activities for your After School Club? Inset workshops on all activities.

The following activities are especially good for mixed age groups in after school clubs and holiday clubs: “Indoor Olympics” Get active in 2012 by making your own gymnastic streamers, cheer leader pompoms and flying frisbees! Also kites, flying fish and windsocks for outdoors. “Jubilee Fun!” Celebrate 60 years by making flags, bunting and streamers. Decorate a recycled card crown. “Recycle, Reduce, Reuse!” All sorts of things to make from recycled materials. Button key rings, hair bobbles and bracelets, egg box bugs and raggedy hedgehogs. Make jewellery from plastic carrier bags, finger puppets from old envelopes and butterflies from left over wallpaper. “Nature Artist” Animals and pots from clay, natural necklaces and colourful Mexican eyes. Plaster of Paris models to make and paint. Decorate a pot and sow some seeds or create an everlasting seasonal garden. “Sun Catchers and Lanterns” Learn to use glass paints. Make a recycled photo frame, a sun catcher or some sparkly bugs to hang in the window. Decorate a jam jar lantern with paint or tissue paper and thread. “All Sorts of Puppets” Puppets on sticks, puppets on socks, puppets on hands, puppets on strings. Spiders, snakes, caterpillars and birds. Lots of cutting and sticking!
